At The Home of Grace, we believe that every act of kindness can make a difference. Join us in spreading kindness and making the world a better place for everyone.
Founded in 2006 by Marideth and John DeSalvo, our nonprofit is dedicated to restoring dignity and hope to women and children in crisis. We provide essential resources—food, clothing, and compassionate care—to those experiencing hunger, poverty, and displacement. With a special focus on survivors of abuse, we create safe, supportive environments where women and children can begin to heal and rebuild their lives. Our mission is to nurture resilience, foster independence, and stand as a constant source of strength for those who need it most.
Since our founding in 2006 by Marideth and John DeSalvo, our nonprofit has continued to grow in both reach and purpose. Originally created to provide food, clothing, and support to women and children—especially those affected by abuse—we have expanded our services to meet the evolving needs of our community. Today, we proudly operate a feeding program for the hungry and offer art classes that provide a safe, welcoming space for individuals seeking healing, expression, and escape from the challenges of everyday life. Our mission remains rooted in compassion: to nourish the body, uplift the spirit, and empower every person who walks through our doors.
As we look to the future, we are filled with hope and determination to expand our impact even further. Our vision is to reach more women, children, and individuals experiencing homelessness with vital resources, emotional support, and creative outlets for healing. But we can’t do it alone. To grow our programs and touch more lives, we rely on the generosity of our community. Every donation—large or small—helps us provide meals, safe spaces, and moments of peace to those who need them most. With your support, we can continue building a future filled with dignity, compassion, and opportunity for all.
